Inspiring Story 2018 #45 – Naitik Shah (Mumbai)

My name is Naitik Shah…30 years old… based in Mumbai. Running my own business, and also running since 1.5 years with Adidas Runners Mumbai…

I started running around 1.5 years back with Adidas Runners Mumbai in order to stay fit and healthy…. Running helps me to reduce stress after a hard day work…

I got to know about 100 days of running last year in April – 2017… And took up the challenge like many others… But around day 15… I injured my leg & ended up running 39 days with a total distance of 200 kms but promised to come back stronger next year and complete the challenge..

Coming to the challenge this year .. it looks easy to run for 100 days & minimum 2kms every day… But trust me it is not that easy… You need to have that commitment to wake up early and go for a run.. it is very easy to miss out a run…I have woken up as early as 4 am in the morning to go for a run and also as late as 11 pm in the night to go for a run as I missed out my morning run..

I have even left my taxi mid way to my home in order to complete the run 🙂

It has been a wonderful experience overall till now… Have completed 475 km so far in 71 days… And plan to run a total of 700 kms in 100 days.. All this would not have been possible without the continuous support of my running buddies who have run with me in these days and motivated to complete the challenge…
